Getting back on track

First of all, thanks to everyone who subscribed to my mail list! Righteous! It's really exciting to start this journey with you!

I think purging social media has already cleared my head a bit and I feel more motivated and patient with my work. As a matter of fact, I'm considering a series of illustrations that I hope you'll like. My plan is to work towards some products that I'm happy with, be it posters or even an art book. Possibly a coloring book? First thing first though: make some art!

Metro

The first one is already done, with reservation for some tweaks later. I think I've spent over 15 hours on this one. Far more than I've spent on anything in ages! So much fun cramming all the detail in there.

Apart from going ham with details and hatching, I've also tried out some new workflows in the coloring. I think it turned out pretty alright, in my humble opinion.

The theme of the series will be 'delinquent girls in pleated skirts'. Yeah. It's dumb and I love it. I've spent some time on some super rough drafts just to get a feel for some ideas. Yay stick figures!

image Gonna try to not go too hard though! This needs to be a slow burn, but I think it'll be a fun project. I'm a bit out of practice too and my hand is pretty sore now, so I'll just go waste some time and charge up for the next one.
